Lighter in tannin and more adaptable to the mid-Atlantic climate, our estate grown Cabernet Franc is one of our more food friendly dry red wines. Aged for two years in American Oak barrels, this deep crimson wine offers abundant flavors of plum and blackberry with peppery notes and a subtle bouquet of violet and raspberry. An excellent accompaniment to all Italian food, anything grilled, beef, pork, lamb, chicken or turkey. Best when served at “cellar” temperature (~60o F) – if necessary refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
